GOOD NEWS! We just got word from
The Starfish Project. We recently donated approximately 10% of our 2008 profits. The money was divided between five Cambodian families. A five year old girl with cancer is getting treatment in Phnom Penh: our donation covered her transportation to the capital city, as well as the food for her three-day stay. The donation also paid for two months of food, for two families, that are affected with HIV. It purchased a small food stall, which is enabling a mother of 7 to support her family and continue to send her children to school. And finally, the donation has allowed a 32 year old man with a serious eye disease for the transport, treatment, and food support at Takeo Eye Hospital in southern Cambodia.
We're THRILLED to see our humble donation make a difference.
It is truly a dream turned reality.
OH and we recently sent a care package filled with brand new kicks to our friends in Cambodia.... so check back on our blog soon for some heartwarming photos!
