required reading: cradle to cradle

cradle to cradle is a modern manifesto for us all... calling for the transformation of human industry through ecologically intelligent design. the book itself is a physical symbol of the changes to come, printed on a synthetic 'paper,' made from plastic resins, it looks and feels like top quality paper and is also waterproof. the book is designed to be infinitely recycled without losing any material quality. beautiful.

Mr.Brainwash, is by far one of the most innovative artist of this generation. His work is truly genius, and like nothing I have seen before. He's conquered the street of LA with his art, tagging anything from electrical boxes, sidewalks to billboards. You can find most of his art on Le Brea and Sunset. Keep an eye out for him, and click here to check out his website, you'll be brainswash instantly.

JAM SESSIONS

I thought I had seen it all when I saw the Discovery channel show Cash Cab. But...boy was I wrong. I proudly introduce to you... London's Black Cab Sessions. They happily open their little black doors to any singer/beat boxer/band, etc. You only get one song, one take, one cab. Guaranteed whatever genre you're into... Black Cab's got it. Old School Brian Wilson, Hip Hop hotties The Cool Kids, even my girl Lykke Li, and to top if off, my new favorite band Grizzle Bear. See for your self you won't be disappointed.

The best F$ckin' Sushi Deal I've Ever seen!

Nabeeya,

Understated..., humble, delicious, and friendly as happy monsters. Husband and wife super duo, Pio and Bona Kim simply run my favorite restaurant in LA. There is nothing fancy about this place, it is the definition of a hole in the wall. Only this one is a little whimsical japanese paradise. The food is legit, authentic and freshly made to order right before your eyes. I get the cut roll combo for $7.99 which comes with 16 pieces of crunch, cali and spicy tuna rolls that will make you believe in love. And miso soup. For $7.99! I tried to figure it out myself, but decided that some things are beyond the human's ability to comprehend. See it to believe it yourself. 766 Santee Street. Downtown LA. Pickup & delivery available. Restaurant only seats 8 people total, so don't bring the whole family.

Banksy = Love

Hey guys!

So during my countless hours of surfing the Internet ... which by the way is code for watching stupid cat videos on YouTube (don't lie, you TOTALLY do it too), I stumbled upon a very exciting video about one of my favorite artists! Banksy is currently showcasing an exhibit at the Bristol Museum in England. For those of you who know who Banksy is, I will try not to bore you and make this as painless as possible but i will now attempt to make an insightful explanation about him and his work....ok...GO...

The English artist, Banksy, is one of THE MOST talented, amusing, and anomalous artists to have become successful in the art world in the last 10 years. He, who is quasi-anonymous, is most well known for his graffiti work and anti-anything attitude and subject matter. His pieces constantly poke fun at the man, establishment, capitalism, and war; it plays with these themes in a way that is both child like yet dark. Thus making it freaking amazing and completely inspiring.

SO......unfortunately for me and everyone at The People's Shoe, we are most likely not going to be able to attend. But if you are in that area you should! Or else we can't be friends anymore... sorry.

Just kidding.

Love,

The Other "Associate"
