babycakes



the super-famous vegan BABYCAKES has made its way from NY to open it's doors this week in DTLA. I had a gluten free vanilla cupcake, with spelt vanilla frosting.  the cupcake itself was just OK.  kinda bland. a bit too spongy.  however, the spelt frosting was SO good it almost made up for the mediocre cupcake.  But then again, I could have saved the $4 (not exactly recession friendly)  and just got a taste of frosting. mmmmm.     OH and they do a cookie sandwich with frosting in the middle... next time.
